During this current situation and starting on Monday 27th April 2020 The Pines Surgery and Langham Place Surgery will operate their services across the two sites.

This is to ensure that we can proactively work on enhancing the safety of our patients and staff.

The Pines will be a “green hub” where all childhood immunisations and routine practice nurse appointments from both surgeries will be delivered for patients with no COVID-19 symptoms.

Langham Place Surgery will be known as an “Amber site” where patients who need to be seen for a new or worsening problems and have no symptoms of COVID-19 (new cough or fever) from both surgeries can be seen by an appropriate clinician.

A designated “red site” has been set up locally for patients with COVID symptoms who require an assessment.

Both the Pines Surgery and Langham Place Surgery thank you for your continued support during this pandemic.

Please be aware that during the current coronavirus situation you will be screened by reception before any appointment can be made - online services are for telephone appointments ONLY - please do not come to the surgery unless you have been advised to - all our usual clinics are subject to change - so we recommend if you are unsure to ring the surgery for advice - we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

THE SURGERY WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAYS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

IMPORTANT - If you are concerned about Coronavirus please refer to www.gov.uk/coronavirus for the latest information.  If you have symptoms of a cough, fever or shortness of breath please refer to www.111.nhs.uk or call 111 - DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY.

NHS

The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The current risk to the general public is moderate.

You can help too.

Germs can live on some surfaces for hours. To protect yourself and others:

  •      Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze.
  •      Bin the tissue, and to kill the germs, wash your hands with soap and water, or use a sanitiser gel.
  •      Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  •      Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
  •      If you have arrived back from an affected area within the last 14 days and develop symptoms of cough or fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:
  • Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu
  • Call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country

This is the best way to slow the spread of almost any germs, including Coronavirus.

More information, including a list of the affected areas is available by logging onto gov.uk/coronavirus
